The Doug Smithson Memorial men's fastball tournament is happening July 4 and 5 at Hyacinth park in Saanich.
Nine teams are competing: Victoria Thunder, Emery Electric Braves (Vic), Tom Harris Hecklers (Vic), LT Consulting Merchants (Vic), Sooke Smoke, Wheatsheaf (Cedar), Bakers Supply/Gord Closson Forest Products (Naniamo/Duncan), Surrey Rebels and Fleetwood (Surrey).
The tournament uses a modified triple knockout format.
Game times are Saturday 9 and 11 a.m., 1, 3, 5 and 7 p.m. Sunday 9 and 11 a.m., 1, 3 and 5 p.m. (the final), all at Hyacinth Park.
