Claremont Spartans defeat Gleneagle Talons while Oak Bay fall to Argyle Pipers

Haley Cabral led the Claremont Spartans with 15 points in their Day 1 win over the Gleneagle Talons, 48-38, at the B.C. High School Girls AAA Basketball Championships in North Vancouver.

The Spartans draw the York House Tigers in the quarterfinals today (March 8).

In a tough opening-round draw, the Oak Bay Breakers fell to the Argyle Pipers 61-50. Lauren Yearwood led the Breakers with 19 points.

The Breakers face Mount Baker today in the first round of the consolation bracket.
