Victoria’s Jason Willow drafted by Baltimore Orioles

Willow is one of five players from B.C. in this year’s MLB draft.

Greater Victoria native Jason Willow has been drafted to the Baltimore Orioles.

The right-handed infielder plays for the B.C. Premier Leagues’ Victoria Mariners, and has commited to UC-Santa Barbara. He was the selected in the 24th round (728th overall).

A total of 20 Canadians were selected over the three-day MLB draft, including 16 on the final day on Wednesday.

Five were from B.C.
