First Nations culture will be celebrated this weekend in Victoria.
The First Peoples' Festival is set for Spirit Square (next to Victoria City Hall) on Sunday (June 19) and features arts, crafts, music and dance by First Nations artists.
The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Performances by the Unity Drummers and Singers and the Gitmaxmak'ay Nisga'a Dancers take place from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The event is hosted and sponsored by the Victoria Native Friendship Centre. Other sponsors include the Provincial Capital Commission and the City of Victoria.
