Saanich residents in the Mount Tolmie area are holding an open meeting and brainstorming session on Tuesday to help reduce poverty in the area.
An ad-hoc group of Mount Tolmie-area residents, business owners and church officials have been meeting since January to some up with solutions to poverty issues, and have the opportunity to apply for a grant to develop a creative and sustainable food assistance.
Residents are invited to learn about the grant and to share ideas on developing a food assistance program.
The meeting is Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 7 to 9 p.m. at St. Luke’s Anglican Church Parish Hall, 3821 Cedar Hill Cross Rd.
