Rock ’n’ roll for little souls at Pearkes

Saturday night is the eighth annual Rock ’n’ Roll for Little Souls charity fundraiser.

Put on by the Saanich Fire Department’s charity foundation, the rock ’n’ roll show is full of prizes and a silent auction in the field house at Pearkes recreation centre.

“We’ve got some great auction items and many more (were) still coming in this week,” Saanich firefighter Jerry Tomljenovic said.

“We’ve got Canucks ticket packages. And another neat deal: a night in a deluxe room at the Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort and Spa with the use of a luxury Mercedes from Three Point Motors for the weekend.”

The list goes on, Tomljenovic said, including stays at the Harbour Towers Hotel, meals at Vic’s Steakhouse, items from Steve Drane Harley Davidson and more.

Proceeds are split between the pediatric ward of Victoria General Hospital and a local B.C. Guide Dog Services dog.

On the bill for Saturday, Mar. 5, is Ruckus, featuring long time Victoria rock ’n’ roller Robby Gillespie. There will also be a full meal, drinks, silent auction, raffles and 50-50 draws.

The event is from 7 p.m. until midnight.
