Saanich highway traffic ‘significantly impacted’ after truck overturns

Police warn drivers about crash

Saanich police say Highway 17 going southbound is now clear after a truck overturned Wednesday (Sept. 27).

“Traffic alert: The S/B lanes of Hwy 17 will be diverted onto the Royal Oak exit as we attend a single-vehicle collision near the Quadra St off-ramp,” reads a Saanich police post on social media.

“Southbound traffic will be significantly impacted until crews can remove the commercial vehicle, which has turned over.”

No word on injuries.
