A 26-year-old man faces charges of assault causing bodily harm, three counts of breaching a court order and and criminal harassment after a woman was allegedly assaulted by her husband.
Oak Bay police responded to an assault-in-progress call at 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 1 at an apartment in the 2200-block of Cadboro Bay Rd. The alleged assault involved a kicking motion and hair-pulling, said Deputy Chief Kent Thom, and the woman was said to be holding her baby at the time.
