Students across the region are not the only ones getting a snow day.
Weather has led Saanich to cancel its special council meeting and committee-of-the-whole meeting scheduled for Monday, Feb. 11.

Megan Catalano, a spokesperson for the District of Saanich, said items from the special council meeting will move to the council meeting scheduled for Feb. 25 while items for the committee of the whole meeting will move to the committee-of-the-whole meeting scheduled for March 4.
Sidney earlier today cancelled its council meeting, citing weather conditions.

Environment Canada’s latest weather warning estimates 15 to 25 cm of snow will fall across the South Coast Monday night and will continue falling Tuesday morning – with total amounts varying across the region.
