One aspect of the deer debate I have not seen discussed is how urban deer are killing community. As we slowly debate how to manage this issue, homeowners are taking action by fencing themselves in.
We are slowly turning our community into deer-proof compounds where casual neighbour to neighbour interaction is limited. It makes me sad that by the time we finally take some action, there will be no community left.
