Facts not in evidence

Mr. Fletcher should do your readers the favour of telling the truth, not pounding the drum of public-sector bashing

Tom Fletcher’s Oct. 5 “Big Brother’s coming...” column asserts in paragraph two: “The province weathered its longest-ever public school strike...”

Teachers conducted only rotating strikes, meaning that schools were open and learning continued until the province directed the schools to close.

So Mr. Fletcher should do your readers the favour of telling the truth, not pounding the drum of public-sector bashing for which he is notorious. If your paper’s content is to be trusted, you must do better to vet Mr. Fletcher’s musings – too often untrustworthy and not amusing.
