Hooray for Saanich! I couldn’t be happier to have this property made public. My family uses this area to walk the trails, bird watch, bike ride and – in the past – as a skating rink. We were quite taken aback when it was bought by Island Berry Company as our access was sharply decreased.
We look forward to Saanich restoring the area and increasing our access. Our hope is the trail that used to surround the farm will be restored and access for skating on the Carey Road side will be reopened.
