Is it ethical to lock down a person’s property and their property rights if an environmental value Saanich is trying to protect doesn’t exist on the property and hasn’t for decades?
Is it ethical not to inform landowners their property has new restrictions?
Is in ethical for Saanich to say their objective with the EDPA bylaw is to protect areas of highest biodiverstity and then protect areas of low or no value on private properties?
And should all of society be required to protect these values or just the landowner who has them?
