HarbourCats gearing up for playoffs following doubleheader shutout



Hot off sweeping a double header against the Cowlitz Black Bears, the Victoria HarbourCats are on fire heading into the playoffs.

The Cats shut out the Bears 5-0 in the first and 2-0 in the second Friday night in Longview, Wash., bringing their series standing to 23-4.

The HarbourCats have a tiebreaker home game against the Bend Elks tonight at Royal Athletic Park. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with the first pitch at 6:35 p.m.

Playoff tickets go on sale Tuesday, July 12 in two-game packages, with single-game tickets on sale around July 26, depending on the sales volume of the two-game packages. Ten-pack tickets are also still available for regular season home games.

Tickets can be purchased online at harbourcats.com, by phone at 778-265-0327 or in person at 101-1814 Vancouver St. The team office is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
