Kendra Pomfret led all UVic Vikes cross country runners with a 40th overall finish at the 41st annual Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif. on Saturday, Sept. 27.
Pomfret ran most of the six-kilometre route in 22:05 with teammate Shauna McInnis just nine seconds back. It paced the women to first overall amongst the 21 non Div. 1 NCAA schools at the meet. The Vikes women would have likely placed around eighth overall amongst the Div. 1 teams, though there was a scoring difference with the number of runners used.
Jackson Bocksnick (24:43) led the Vikes men with a 52nd overall finish, as the Vikes men were fifth amongst non Div. 1 NCAA teams.
